Following on from a couple of well-received articles on similar parts from FA, Quasi and Nike, we decided to take a look at Donovon Piscopo’s part in the latest Hockey video. Have a watch below, then Paid subs can read the full article here.
The very first line reminds of golden era Antony Van Engelen, the pole jam, the push, the style, using kerb cuts on an average West Coast pavement.
The second seems a callback to Piscopo’s time on Alien Workshop; long-sleeved white t-shirt, a hefty wallie to begin, a kickflip backside tailslide on a tall painted kerb, followed by a switch backside tailslide on the same. He even looks to be wearing Janoskis.
